Jeez! One of my favourite actors, bad boy Charlie Sheen, 44, was arrested Christmas eve and spent most of Christmas day in jail. I don’t like reporting gossip as online news, but imagine how shocked I was to hear on Christmas eve that my fave actor was in jail. What!?!??????????
We were drinking Baileys Irish Cream over ice, round the dinner table at that moment. No doubt, his Christmas got wrecked, spending a part of the holidays in jail.
He was arrested in the ski resort town of Aspen in Colorado, accused of domestic violence. I’m rather concerned because of mainly selfish reasons – my husband and I love CBS’s Two and a Half Men and we’re planning on heading to California in the spring to catch a live taping of the show. He is accused of domestic violence and “menacing” by his current wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen, mother of his twin sons. However, his publicist warned people not to jump to conclusions about anything.
He has been released after posting bond and a court date has been set for February 8th.
Charlie Sheen is the son of Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez. He has had previous run ins with the law before in 1996 when he was charged with attacking a girlfriend in his home in California. His previous wife Denise Richards also accused him of naughty things during a very bitter and acrimonious custody dispute when their marriage ended.
Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, you’re a bad boy, and play the lover, lothario much better than a criminal. Make love, not war. Keep being funny on Two and a Half Men. Christmas time is, according to my brother, the cop, a time of domestic disputes. Those are the most popular police calls on Christmas eve and Christmas day. I guess people get sick of each other, stuck inside the house all day, perhaps a little tense over excess Christmas shopping and the bills to come. Add a little Christmas cheer in the form of alcohol and you’ve all got the potential, every single one of you humans out there, to get a little irrational and drunk.
Charlie, your show Two and a Half Men keeps us laughing out loud many times during the week because we watch the new show and the re-runs. For us, it’s the finest in comedic entertainment,blended with some of the little hidden truths of life. I don’t claim to know the secret to life, but marriage is difficult in the best of times for everyone, for both movie stars and normal people. Add passion and a little booze and it can become a battlefield. Ya have to step carefully, bite your tongue more than a few times
